About the role

Join the team at SGHG Family Trust as a full-time/Casual Barista in our vibrant café located in Loganholme, QLD. As a skilled barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee and providing outstanding customer service to our loyal patrons. What you'll be doing

Expertly preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, from classic espresso-based beverages to speciality signature drinks

Providing exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, understanding their preferences, and delivering a seamless café experience

Ensuring the café's coffee and tea-making equipment is well-maintained and in good working order

Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed

Collaborating with the café team to develop and implement new menu items and improve efficiency

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry

A passion for coffee and a deep understanding of coffee-making techniques, including latte art

Strong customer service skills and the ability to provide a welcoming and friendly experience for all customers

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle the high-paced café environment

A team-player attitude and the willingness to contribute to the overall success of the café

A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or the ability to obtain one
