Cheese Production Assistant – Casual Role

La Vera Cheese is a South Australian-owned business, producing a wide range of high-quality, handmade cheeses for retail and food service clients locally and across Australia.

We're currently looking for passionate, hard-working individuals to join our production team in a casual, hands-on role, assisting our expert cheesemakers in creating premium cheese products.

What You'll Do

Assist in the daily production of artisan cheeses

Scoop cheese into hoops by hand

Operate production equipment safely and efficiently

Cut, pack and label cheese products accurately

Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment

Support general cleaning and hygiene routines

Work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food production or factory setting

Physically fit – able to lift up to 15kg and perform repetitive manual tasks

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to follow directions and work independently

Dependable, with a great attitude and team spirit

Strong communication and time management skills

Current, valid driver’s licence

Available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm

Immediate start preferred
