BARISTA / FRONT OF HOUSE

New Farm Deli & Café are currently seeking an experienced professional to fill a Barista & Front of House role. We pride ourselves on an exceptional quality in both product and of the exceptional service our staff provide to our customers.

We have casual position/s on offer 3 – 5 days per week (25 to 38 hrs)

The positions we are currently seeking come with a great work life balance as you will work no nights, no splits, no public holidays and have 2 weeks off for the Christmas and New year period during annual closure of the café.

To be considered for the role you will have a to have / demonstrate the following:

· Minimum 2 years of experience as a barista

· Knowledge of grinder and coffee machine adjustments as well as cleaning and maintenance

· Perfect milk texturing

· Ability to multitask and perform other roles/duties to help your team (floor and counter duties)

· Be organised and clean

· Be reliable, consistent and punctual

· Positive can-do attitude and the ability

· Exceptional communication and interaction with staff and guests

· Attention to detail in a high pressure, fast paced environment

· Available to work weekends

· High levels of energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work well in a team

· Have basic table service skills, knowledge of payment system (POS, Eftpos)

· With overall professional personal presentation
