About the role

Podmore's Building Supplies is seeking a talented and customer-focused Sales & Customer Service professional to join our team in Margaret River, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales for our wide range of building supplies and home improvement products. This is a diverse role and will suit an individual seeking a dynamic position with a blend of office and ‘on your feet’ tasks.

What you'll be doing

Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to both retail and trade customers

Assisting customers in selecting the right products to meet their needs

Processing sales orders and handling adhoc enquires

Providing quantity estimates and quotations

Monitoring customer orders and deliveries

Ordering stock and eeceival of goods inbound

Loading and unloading of customer and delivery vehicles

Identifying and pursuing sales opportunities to grow our customer base

General branch support / storeman / admin / ad-hoc duties

Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

At least 2 years of experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably within the building/hardware industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service

Excellent product knowledge and the ability to provide technical advice to customers

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Proficient in using computerised point-of-sale and inventory management systems

A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Forklift Licence is advantageous but not essential
