St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. We have a commitment to the formation of 'Gentlemen of Terrace' to be young men of faith and learning who will make a difference through knowledge, humility and wisdom. The college has an enrolment of 1800 boys from Years 5 to 12, and a staff of 240.

THE ROLE

You will work as part of the Property and Facilities team to ensure that the presentation of the College’s grounds and facilities meets the College’s professional standards, are ready and available for use and meet health and safety standards for students, staff and visitors.

Duties may include:

Open college facilities in the morning.

Maintain school cleanliness by picking up rubbish and emptying bins.

Cleaning of gutters and drains with appropriate equipment.

Moving furniture and other equipment according to school requirements.

Delivery of goods to appropriate areas of college.

Assist in the set up and pack down of school functions and events.

ABOUT YOU

Basic practical / manual handling skills

Physical fitness to be able to carry out the duties of the role in differing weather conditions

Sound oral and written communication skills

Able to work collaboratively as part of a team

Previous experience in a school environment or similar is an advantage

Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
