We operate as a small swim school of up to 300 students across two private facilities in Bentleigh East and Hampton East, and we are seeking further growth. CJR Swimming School is dedicated to providing high-quality swimming lessons to children of all ages and skill levels. About the role

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic teacher to lead fun and engaging swim classes for children aged 5 months to 5 years.

You’ll be supported with on-the-job training, guidance, and opportunities to grow as part of our close-knit team. Enjoy the stability of up to 10 hours per week, teaching on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings on an ongoing per term basis.

In this role, you will:

Lead fun, safe, and nurturing swimming lessons for infants and preschoolers

Help children develop water confidence, safety skills, and early swim techniques

Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants

Support and engage parents and caregivers during parent-assisted classes

Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate lesson plans and ensure consistent teaching standards

Skills & Experience

As a teacher of baby and toddler swim classes, you’ll help create fun, supportive experiences that build water confidence in our youngest swimmers. To be successful in this role, you will:

Have excellent English and strong communication skills with both children and parents

Genuinely enjoy working with babies and young children in a safe environment (current Working With Children Check and First Aid is required)

Confidently deliver fun, age-appropriate lesson plans provided by the swim school

Hold a Teacher of Infant & Preschool Aquatics qualification (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or equivalent)

Have at least 1 year of experience teaching infants and preschoolers, with ongoing on-the-job training provided to continue building your skills and confidence
