About the Role

Goodwin Aged Care Services is seeking an experienced Deputy Director of Nursing (DOON) to lead care programs, manage financial outcomes, and ensure exceptional care delivery within our residential facility in Batemans Bay. This pivotal role includes oversight of infection prevention and control (IPC) and the leadership of clinical teams to deliver high-quality resident care. This is a full - time role.

The ideal candidate must be available to work from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, between Monday to Friday.

Salary

$68.09 per hour + Super + NFP Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Care Management: Lead care structures to ensure efficiency and compliance. Develop and implement care policies, optimise subsidies, and provide guidance to clinical staff.
• Infection Prevention and Control: Oversee the IPC program, including compliance, training, and monitoring of infection control measures.
• Employee Leadership: Mentor and support staff, manage rosters, and drive performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement innovative programs, monitor care incidents, and contribute to regulatory compliance.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) in Australia, IPC Lead qualifications.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and report writing abilities. In-depth knowledge of aged care standards, ACFI, and dementia care. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Personal Attributes: High ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
