About the role

ISAS - Integrated Switchgear and System Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker/Metal Fabricator to join our team in Winnellie, Northern Territory. This is a full-time position within our Switchboard Manufacturing department

What you'll be doing

Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components and structures

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality metal parts

Operate CNC waterjet table machinery to produce high quality components and finished products

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance

Operate a variety of metalworking equipment, including punch, folder, welders (MIG & TIG), guillotines, etc

Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, organised work environment

Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines

Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards

Assist in the training and development of junior staff

What we're looking for

Experience in metal fabrication and working with electrical enclosures and components for electrical switchboards or similar industrial areas

Experience in using a waterjet cutter or CNC machinery.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to follow detailed instructions.

Manual dexterity and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Proficient in the use of metalworking tools and equipment

Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to share your knowledge and assist with training of junior staff

Strong commitment to safety and quality

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Forklift license or the ability to obtain one
