About the role

Clarence Valley Council is offering a Ranger role that would suit a person who is energetic, dedicated, community-minded and a 'curious cat' to complete compliance and regulation functions in a diverse and challenging space.

You will work in an environment where our focus is about making a positive difference to our community and environment by providing quality customer service. A typical working day as a Ranger will be varied and challenging and will require you to utilise your well-developed communication skills, positive and creative approach to problem solving, and ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment. You will be most often out in the field investigating and managing issues across the local government area associated with companion animals (mainly cats and dogs), use of public spaces, environmental pollution, and general compliance by our community with legislation and policies administered by Council.

Your role will involve effective listening, and providing education and advice, to encourage positive response for a range of external and internal customers from a varied range of backgrounds.

Candidates without formal training are encouraged to apply if they bring enthusiasm, motivation, curiosity and are adaptable to new situations.
