The Education Lead reports to the Clinical Lead. The Clinical Lead position is responsible for delivery of high-quality workforce training and coaching of the Australian Family Partnership Program (AFPP) and for providing strategic clinical leadership.
About the Position
As the Education Lead, you will be responsible for leading the workforce education of site-workforce, in line with the Australian Family Partnership Program (AFPP) and coordinate the delivery of high quality AFPP core education curriculum that maximizes AFPP staff learning experiences and achieves AFPP program outcomes.
The position includes providing support and guidance to Nurse Supervisors, FPW Leads, NHV and FPWs in the delivery of the program at site and working closely with implementing sites in continuous quality improvement activities. The position will lead the education team in the continual review of curriculum content and program resources, to increase the ability of education team maximize women and family’s capacity to be strong and confident parents and carers. The position is also responsible for collaborating with the data team to ensure data analysis and reporting reflects the broad activities of the program.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Post graduate qualification with at least 5 years subsequent relevant experience, or extensive experience and expertise in clinical, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/ training.
- APHRA Registration as a registered nurse or midwife with experience as senior nurse with clinical credibility, strong knowledge of relevant research and evaluation and excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent clinical standing in Maternal and Child Health and be passionate about improving outcomes of care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and babies.
- Sound knowledge of the maternal and child health sector in Australia and clinical services across a community health and Primary Health Care services.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a solution-focused approach, developing innovative, evidence-based products to meet the project needs.
- A proven leader, with demonstrated experience in supervising clinical and/ professional staff, and in developing capability within the team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity and commitment to manage and build positive relationships.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic Level C. The base salary will be in the range of $134,128 - $156,967 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $156,929 - $183,651 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
