We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Merchandiser / Office all-rounder for our Car Rental company at times working between two locations in Far North Queensland.

Reporting to the director, to help build and grow our in-store merchandise offering.
You’ll play a key part in shaping the look and feel of our store, supporting with the selection, display, and promotion of in store merchandise. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who takes pride in presentation and enjoys bringing products to life for customers along with assisting in the car rental and tour sales side of the business.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Assist with product selection, unpacking, and pricing new stock

· Help create visually appealing displays and signage

· Maintain merchandising standards and restock shelves

· Collaborate directly with the owner on creative merchandising ideas

· Identifying additional sales opportunities

. Create point of sale displays, ensuring the product is well-stocked and maintained

· Attend to walk in customers in a prompt and efficient manner

· Responding to customer enquiries / bookings in an effective and respectful, timely manner

· Creating, opening, and closing car rental contracts, based on customer needs and in accordance with business excellence standards

· Responding to phone calls and company emails

· Take credit card payments and accurately update the system

· Upsell tour bookings and in store stock to customers

· Monitoring, tracking, and organising fleet availability daily.

About you

· A keen eye for detail and a love for styling and presentation

· Retail or merchandising experience (preferred)

· Good communication and a positive, can-do attitude

· Self-motivated, organised, and proactive with strong time management

· Ability to exceed customer expectations through excellent service and effective communication skills

· Outstanding customer service and sales skills both face to face and over the phone with the ability to build rapport quickly

· Desire to contribute to the overall success of the business.

· Excellent time management and organisational skills

· The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

· Flexibility to work on a rotating roster is a must - including weekends and public holidays.

· A full and current driver’s licence

· Current and ongoing Australian work rights
