About the role

Ashgail Rehabilitation Services is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our talented team in Melbourne. This full-time role will see you delivering high-quality speech therapy services to our diverse client base, helping them improve their communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop personalised treatment plans

Providing one-on-one therapy sessions to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care

Educating clients, families, and caregivers on speech and language development, disorders, and management strategies

Maintaining detailed client records and progress notes by professional and organisational standards

Participating in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices

What we're looking for

A bachelor's or master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)

Demonstrated experience providing speech therapy services to a diverse range of clients, including children and adults

Minimum 2 years of experience providing speech therapy services to diverse clients, including children and adults

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice

Proficiency in using speech therapy assessment tools and developing tailored treatment plans

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Valid Working with Children Check

Clear National Police Check

Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Current First Aid and CPR certification
