Black & White Taxi Management Pty Ltd is seeking a self-motivated Motor Mechanic who can work efficiently & unsupervised on our company’s vehicle fleet for a FULL-TIME role in our Sydney branch.

Must have a current driver’s license and at least 12 months experience as a qualified mechanic.

A solid knowledge of Toyota’s (including hybrid) whilst having the ability to trouble-shoot and diagnose would be advantageous.

Salary: AUD 77k per annum + Super

The successful candidate is expected to perform the following duties:

·Perform regular vehicle maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid replacements.

· Running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations

· Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts

· Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts

· Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts

· Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired

· Reassembling mechanical components

· Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

· Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers

· May inspect vehicles for roadworthiness or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness

· May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls

· Must have knowledge of MS office for data entry and invoicing

The successful candidate is also required to have the following qualification and skills:

·Trade Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (minimum Certificate IV)

· Provide excellent customer service and explain repair needs to clients.

· Professional negotiating and conflict resolution skills

· Problem solving ability

· Proactive with can-do attitude
