An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a highly regarded mining business located in Brisbane CBD. This role offers an excellent blend of tax technical work, compliance and accounting.
Duties will include:
Preparation of GST, FBT, Payroll tax, income tax
Tax effect accounting
Land tax, royalty returns, fuel tax credits
Maintenance of a robust governance framework and effective controls
Monthly and annual financial reporting
Ensuring correct application of relevant accounting standards
Prepare position papers for changes in legislation
Collaborate with key stakeholders regarding tax requirements
Support process and systems improvement initiatives.
Your background:
CA, CPA, CTA qualified
Prior experience in a corporate tax and accounting role, or
1st move from Big 4 in a tax specialist capacity
