Forklift Driver / Dispatch Operator

Yakult Australia is a global leader in probiotics, manufacturing and marketing the unique fermented milk drink, ‘Yakult’. Sales have grown substantially in Australia since 1994. We operate in all states of Australia, with our head office and state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Victoria.

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Forklift Driver/Dispatch Operator to join our team, based in Dandenong.

Working Hours

Day Shift - 7.6 hours per day (38 hours per week) between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm

Afternoon Shift - 7.6 hours per day (38 hours per week) between the hours of 12:00pm and 11:30pm.

Occasional overtime may be required.

Salary

As per the Yakult Australia Enterprise Agreement (Level 1B) and the Road Transport and Distribution Award, the base salary for this position is to be $52,894.92 annually ($26.77 per hour).

Afternoon shift operators will receive a 15% loading.

Specific Duties Include:

Load pallets onto trucks and unload raw material from trucks using forklift

Receive all incoming deliveries

Prepare stock for dispatch by attaching correct labels

Check off outgoing goods against dispatch manifest to ensure correct amounts of delivery locations

Complete daily stock take once dispatch is complete

Move raw materials into production area using forklift

Assist in filling and packing area of production if and when required

Complete pallet allocation

Ensure cool room and warehouse are clean, tidy, and free of hazards

To be successful, you will:

Have a current and valid forklift license

Have experience in operating forklifts and the ability to work with and around forklifts safely

Have your own transport to ensure you can get to and from work on time

Be able to work in a cold environment (uniform, including jackets, are provided by Yakult Australia)

Be available to work full-time (Monday to Friday) and occasionally work overtime if required

Be willing to learn dispatch processes, how to unload and load deliveries, and complete paperwork accurately

Be willing to work overtime when required, with notice given
