About Us
The business is a large meat import and export business based in Brooklyn with over 300 staff. They ship small meat products all over the world and are currently looking for a Forklift Operator to join the team working in cold storage.

The Role
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced forklift operator to help with loading and moving meat products in our cold storage facility, including freezers. You’ll work closely with the loadout team to make sure all products are packed, moved, and shipped correctly and on time. Some paperwork and temperature checks will also be part of your day.

Main Duties

• Safely operate forklift to move meat products
• Load and unload trucks and shipping containers
• Work in a cold storage and freezer environment
• Help make sure products are stored at correct temperatures
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and OH&S rules at all times
• Complete basic paperwork such as load sheets
• Communicate with team leaders and other departments as needed
• Keep work area clean and equipment in good condition

What We’re Looking For

• Valid forklift license and experience operating forklifts in a warehouse
• Previous experience working in cold storage or freezer environments
• Comfortable working early mornings and in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable and physically fit for manual handling tasks
