We are seeking a part-time or full-time senior tax accountant to join our North Hobart based practice. The firm has been established for well over 25 years and is largely based around referred clients. There are 6 experienced staff and 2 directors providing an integrated range of services based around business accounting and tax consulting, often in specialised areas. We are focused on providing a full advice service to our clients.

We are looking for an experienced (5+ years) professionally qualified accountant with public accounting experience, preferably with a CPA or CA qualification. You will be responsible for client management with direct assistance from the directors. Strong communication skills are a must for this role. The role is semi-autonomous in that you will be generally responsible for your own time and client management within a broader small team environment. You would need experience in Australian tax compliance, including small business structures and tax planning strategies

The role would provide scope for flexible work hours along with the potential for limited work from home arrangements.

You will be expected to be involved in the following areas:

Preparation of business activity statements and instalment activity statements

Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types

Providing assistance to clients with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB etc.
