Physiotherapist – Full Time / Part Time Options Available
📍 Robina, Gold Coast, Queensland
About Us:
Ohana Physiotherapy is a family-owned and operated business based on the Gold Coast, providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care to both children and adults.
We pride ourselves on our holistic approach to health, offering treatments in our purpose built clinic, at home, in schools, hydrotherapy pools and within the community.
We’re currently looking for a passionate Physiotherapist with a strong interest in paediatrics as one of our paediatric physios heads off on maternity leave. You’ll be stepping into a well-established caseload from day one - and with continued growth across the clinic, this is a permanent role, not just a temporary cover.
Whether you're keen to focus solely on paediatrics or would like to work with both children and adults, we’d love to hear from you.
Paediatric experience or a keen interest in paediatrics is required for this role.
Perks/Benefits of Working at Ohana Physiotherapy:
- Diverse Caseload: Treat a wide range of conditions, including neurological, musculoskeletal, developmental, and more. Enjoy a mix of clinic-based appointments along with home, hydrotherapy and community visits.
- Flexible Work Hours: Full-time and part-time options available, with the flexibility to work from home when appropriate and enjoy a healthy work-life balance. Choose hours that suit you, including early finish Fridays or a 9 day fortnight!
- Ongoing Professional Development and PD Allowance: Access to regular mentoring, inservices and professional development sessions, and a structured PD allowance to support your growth. Whether you're new to paediatrics or experienced, we offer training to help you thrive in this area.
- Supportive, Friendly Team: Work alongside a team of experienced physiotherapists who share your passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work in a modern, well-equipped clinic that features an open gym space and private treatment rooms, providing plenty of room for movement and therapy. Benefit from specialised equipment such as a jungle gym playground set, rock climbing wall, assistive technology, vibration plate, CME/DMI boxes, muscle stimulation device, Pilates reformer, squat rack, cable machine, treadmill and more.
- Team Culture: We believe in supporting our team, celebrating wins, and fostering a fun, collaborative environment. Enjoy regular social events, team-building activities, and the opportunity to work in a team that values professional growth and mutual respect.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Independently assess clients with a variety of conditions, including developmental delays, physical impairments, injuries, and chronic conditions.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualised treatment plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function for each client.
- Collaboration with Families and Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes. We have strong connections with a larger multidisciplinary team and stakeholders.
- Assistive Technology & Equipment Prescription: Conduct assessments and provide recommendations and reports for mobility aids, equipment, and assistive technology as required.
- Clinic & Community Outreach: Deliver therapy in various settings, including clinic, home, school, hydrotherapy pool and community centres, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each client.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution with full AHPRA registration.
- Experience: Ideally, you’ll have experience working with children, but we’re open to applications from physiotherapists with an interest in paediatrics and a willingness to learn and grow in this area. New grads are welcome to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to build rapport with clients. Excellent communication skills are essential for working effectively with both clients and their families.
- Team Player: Able to collaborate within a team environment and with wide range of healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Driver’s License & Own Car: A valid driver’s license is essential for community visits (e.g. home, school, and community settings).
