Casual Tuckshop Support Position in Private College

Victory College is a growing Christian co-educational College of 860 students from Kindy to Year 12. The College is located in the town of Gympie, only a 40-minute drive from the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We are dedicated to providing an excellent Christian based education and equipping students to lead lives inspired by their Christian faith.

Our commitment to quality education extends to the health and wellbeing of all our students, with the presence of our onsite Tuckshop facilities. We are looking for a casual employee to assist our current College team, two to five days a week, who performs a vital role in our commercial kitchen facilities.

Role Requirements:

- Current driver’s licence

- Ability to work independently

- Working with Children (Blue Card)

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing and assembling food items according to menu plans and recipes.

- Operating cooking equipment and following food safety procedures.

- Serving food to students and staff at the counter.

- Ensuring food presentation is appealing and meets hygiene standards.

- Assisting with catering for College events and functions.

- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area, including food preparation and service areas.

- Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils.

- Ensuring proper storage of food items to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.

- Assisting with general cleaning and maintenance tasks in the tuckshop.

- Assisting with stocktakes and recording inventory.

- Checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.

- Providing friendly and efficient service to students and staff.

- Handling cash transactions and operating a cash register.

- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues politely.

- Maintaining accurate records for the tuckshop operations.

- Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices.

- Following College policies and procedures.

- Demonstrating a responsible and professional attitude.
