An exciting opportunity has become available for a Truck Driver General Hand to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. In this role, the successful applicant will assist with the delivery of an effective and efficient waste management service.

The key responsibilities of this role:

• Driving waste trucks to each address within a prescribed area and collecting refuse/recyclables
• Providing direction to relief drivers and other crew members in the absence of the Team Leader
• Undertaking vehicle operation, including general and bin maintenance
• Emptying truck at a transfer station when required
• Working in a safe manner and taking appropriate safety precautions

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of one years’ experience in operation this type of vehicle or similar
• Current Australian HR licence
• Good interpersonal and team skills
• Basic literacy skills
• Flexible work approach and a commitment to becoming multi-skilled
• Appropriate level of physical fitness commensurate with the duties of the role
• Self-motivation and capacity to work under pressure
• Good knowledge of health and safety requirements

Desirable:

• Senior First Aid certificate
• Manual Handling experience

Salary range:

From $78,253.44 to $80,157.64 per annum, exclusive of superannuation.
