Specifically, we are looking for individuals who have demonstrated experience supporting a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and possess the following professional proficient or advanced positive behaviour support / psychologist attributes:

Genuinely collegially oriented and comfortable working in a workplace that values diversity

A demonstrated capacity to motivate and support a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners to achieve their professional development goals and KPIs.

Experience working with rural and remote communities and organisations to advocate for, and support the needs of, participants

Strong critical thinking

Strong active listening, communication, and reflection skills

Effective therapeutic relationship building skills

Experience in conducting assessments including risk assessments, behaviour support assessments, functional behaviour assessments (FBAs), and psychosocial assessments

Experience in positive behaviour support strategy development and/or psychological case formulation (at least 12 months experience)

Experience in administering data collection tools and analysing reliable and valid data to evidence outcomes

Confidence and competence to write and review interim, standard, and comprehensive reports that are person-centred, meaningful, and meet internal and external quality standards (at least 12 months experience)

Demonstrated capacity attending independently, or supporting Behaviour Support Practitioners, with Quality Assurance Panels as a means of authorising restrictive practices.

Confidence and competence to support a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners/Psychologists navigate interpersonal relationships and conflict to produce outcomes and aligned goals

Confidence and competence in supporting practitioners working with complex case presentations including working within a forensic setting

An ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Registered as a Clinical Psychologist with experience facilitating, and supporting Provisional Psychologists with diagnostic. and psychological assessments (preferred).
