Our client is a leading Australian ASX listed technology company headquartered in Sydney. With iconic brands and a strong national presence, they are undergoing a large scale transformation of their digital platforms.

About the role
They are looking for a senior Node developer to joint the team. This senior developer role sits within a collaborative, agile tech team. You will lead backend development, contribute to platform architecture, and help evolve a cloud-native digital payments ecosystem. You’ll engage cross-functionally and influence high-impact platform decisions.

Duties/Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
• Implement and maintain Azure-based cloud integrations
• Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and test automation
• Participate in agile rituals and technical architecture planning
• Ensure clean, performant code across platforms

Skills and experience

• 10+ years’ development experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and Microsoft Azure
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to solve complex problems and drive scalable solutions
• Advantageous: experience with online payment systems, APIs, or TDD
