We’re seeking a proactive and empathetic Customer Service Officer to support a national education-focused program promoting reconciliation in schools and early learning settings. This remote-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful initiative that fosters respect, trust, and relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community.
You’ll be the first point of contact for educators and institutions using an online platform to develop and implement Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs). Your focus will be providing excellent service, coordinating feedback and review processes, and supporting broader team initiatives.
Responsibilities
Respond to Enquiries: Manage incoming phone, email, and platform enquiries from educators, administrators, and community members. Provide accurate, respectful, and timely responses in line with organisational messaging. Support internal tracking and triage of queries.
Support RAP Review Processes: Assist in the review and publishing of Reconciliation Action Plans. Coordinate feedback loops with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Team and Program Support: Contribute to team-wide administrative tasks and operational support. Assist with project delivery and cross-team collaboration as required.

Essential Skills & Experience
You’ll bring a demonstrated understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and issues. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, and high-level interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across a range of stakeholders. Strong time management and organisational skills are essential, along with a proactive, customer-focused attitude and a commitment to learning. You should also bring problem-solving and analytical thinking when handling enquiries and supporting workflows, as well as a team-oriented approach with a willingness to collaborate and support shared goals.
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience or familiarity with Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs). Understanding of education frameworks such as the Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework, AITSL, or ACECQA. Knowledge of culturally inclusive teaching practices or reconciliation-focused curriculum resources. Previous experience in the education sector (early learning, primary, or secondary). Current Working With Children or Vulnerable People Check, or ability to obtain one.
To Apply:
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your suitability for the role. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
