Coastal Fire Protection is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician with a strong understanding of fire dampers, mechanical ventilation, and essential safety measures. About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified HVAC Technician with hands-on experience in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of:

Fire and smoke dampers

Mechanical exhaust systems

Pressurisation systems

General HVAC systems in compliance with AS1851 and BCA requirements

You'll be working across a range of commercial, residential, and industrial sites throughout Port Macquarie and surrounds, ensuring all mechanical safety components meet code and function as designed.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and test fire/smoke dampers and mechanical systems

Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC and essential safety systems

Complete compliance reports and service records

Coordinate with clients, builders, and other trades onsite

Ensure all work meets Australian standards and legislative requirements

About You

HVAC trade qualification and current licences

Sound knowledge of AS1851, NCC/BCA and mechanical ventilation requirements

Experience with fire damper testing and essential services

Ability to interpret plans, schedules and compliance documentation

Strong communication and reporting skills

White Card and valid driver’s licence
