Carpentry Trainer & Assessor – Part-Time (Weekends)

Minimum hourly rate: $45 + Super | Weekend shifts | Part-time casual
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Trainer and Assessor to deliver direct, engaging training in Certificate III in Carpentry. This role is part-time, working 2–3 days on weekends (Saturdays, Sundays, optional Fridays).
You'll be delivering nationally recognised training in a supportive, multicultural environment, helping students gain the skills they need for successful careers in construction.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver practical and theoretical training in Certificate III in Carpentry.
· Assess student competencies in alignment with industry standards.
· Prepare and update training materials and assessments.
· Provide feedback and mentoring to students to support their learning journey.
· Ensure all training and assessment activities meet ASQA and Training Package requirements.
· Maintain exact training and assessment records.
What You will Need
Essential:
· Trade qualification in Carpentry (Cert III or higher).
· Recent, practical experience in the carpentry industry.
· Ability to communicate and engage with a diverse range of students.
· A strong understanding of safety practices relevant to the construction industry.
Desirable:
· Previous experience delivering vocational training in an RTO environment.
· Experience working with international or culturally diverse students.
· Familiarity with competency-based assessment and adult learning principles.
The Offer
· $45 per hour + Super (depending on qualifications and experience).
