Seeking an Intermediate Tax Accountant, skilled and experienced enough to work independently - with support from Senior Accountants.

Our clients are small businesses, and associated individuals, with turnovers between $500,000 and $50,000,000. Many of the client groups have advanced tax planning and asset protection setups.

Whilst this is a small business, tax based role, you’ll gain exposure to all areas of Public Practice. This includes, but is not limited to, complex structuring, asset protection, financial modelling, and business advisory. Additional experience in these other areas will be looked upon favorably but is not required to be considered for this role.

The position will be 5 days per week, from our office in the CBD. The hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, then 8am to 12pm on Friday – with a team lunch between 12pm and 1pm. Giving everyone in our team the ability to enjoy an extended weekend!

Must have proficiency in all of the following:

Change GPS, FUTRLI, Fuse Sign, FYI Docs, MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QBO, BGL, Light Year Docs, ATO Mate

A tax agent license or be eligible to apply within the next 6 months

Experience supervising junior staff

Experience preparing client files for SBR, VA and Liquidation

Corporate structure map experience

Tax planning experience

3-way forecasting and business advisory experience

Strong understanding of payroll tax, FBT, QBCC and Superannuation

Exceptional work ethic
