About the role

J Music is looking for a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality music lessons in the homes of students of all ages and skill levels in the south west Sydney suburbs surrounding Liverpool and Edmondson Park. As a Music Teacher, you will play a key part in helping our students develop their musical talents and reach their full potential.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering engaging and tailored music lessons on the in demand instruments piano and guitar
• Assessing students' progress and providing regular feedback to help them improve their musical skills
• Collaborating with students to create personalised learning plans that align with their goals and interests
• Maintaining a safe and positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a music teacher, with a strong background in teaching your chosen instrument
• A deep understanding of music theory, pedagogy, and the ability to tailor your teaching approach to each student's needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages
• A passion for music and a commitment to helping students develop their musical abilities
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in music or music education, or equivalent experience
• A working knowledge of the NSW music curriculum and teaching standards
• A current Working with Children Check, a valid driver's licence and own vehicle
