What is the Talent Register?

The Child Protection Frontline Talent Register is an online portal that allows you to register your interest for full time and part time opportunities that are:

  • Fixed term/secondment up to twelve (12) months, or
  • Transfer at level for existing permanent public sector employees
  • Permanent

The register is actively monitored by managers to match applicants to available opportunities. You only need to register your interest once, and your application will remain on our jobs register for current and future opportunities.

The benefit of applying through one of our talent registers is that you can be appointed directly via a streamlined process as opportunities become available.

Living and working in WA’s regional, rural and remote communities can provide a unique and affordable lifestyle where there's no shortage of adventure. The Department of Communities protects and cares for Western Australian children and young people who are in need and supports families and individuals who are at risk or in crisis.

Are you looking to join the Department of Communities in a key frontline position located in the Goldfields Region? Then you’ve come to the right place!

Experience the astounding diversity and beauty in the national parks and reserves decorated around the Goldfields including: tranquil eucalyptus forests, wide sweeping plains, dry lake beds, low lying scrub land and spinifex fields. Play a round of golf with visiting Kangaroos at the iconic Kalgoorlie Golf Course, enjoy events at the Goldfields Arts Centre, try your luck at gold prospecting or take in the wildlife as the region is home to a huge number and wide variety of bird species such as the threatened bilby, chuditch, mallee fowl and dunnart thrive here. Explore the technicolour dreamscape of the Golden Outback.
