THE OPPORTUNITY

Our busy clinic has an exciting opportunity for a clinical / personal assistant to join our professional and friendly team in a full-time capacity. In this role you will gain experience across a variety of clinical areas supported by a team of leading industry professionals.

This position involves many varied tasks, including:

assisting with the preparation and running of patient consultation clinics

undertaking administrative tasks generated from clinics

management of surgical bookings

helping Dr Licina manage his business calendar and meetings

helping Dr Licina manage long-term busines projects and clinical research activities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The successful applicant will report directly to Dr Paul Licina who is an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon. The position is based in Dr Licina's private practice SpinePlus, at Brisbane Private Hospital.

Whilst an autonomous role, this position requires the successful applicant to formulate and nurture professional relationships with other medical specialists, administrative personnel, researchers and allied health professionals in the practice. Superior patient health outcomes are dependent on the successful applicant being able to navigate all the disciplines to achieve this goal. The fast-paced, multifaceted nature of the work that Dr Licina undertakes in the care of patients and the development of innovative practice strategies and technologies requires dedication, hard work and a commitment to seeing projects to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

An undergraduate degree in biomedical, health or behavioural sciences.

ability to work independently and unsupervised to schedule but to be able to interact in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team-based environment

aspirations for a career in the healthcare industry

competent with IT including Windows, Mac, Android and iOS environments, the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to become proficient in medical practice software

a high level of personal presentation standards

a compassionate and caring nature with a genuine interest in providing exceptional care to patients

strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a firm grasp of English grammar and syntax

full working rights in Australia

Desirable

Previous experience in the healthcare industry

Previous experience as a clinical assistant and/or personal assistant

Previous experience or interest in graphic design and healthcare app design and development

POSITION DETAILS

commences Monday 1 September 2025

full-time position working 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

daily hours are variable depending on workload

remuneration based on qualifications and relevant experience; in accordance with the Health Professional and Support Services Award

opportunity for higher remuneration based on achievement of project KPIs

comprehensive training provided by clinical team supported by administrative management team
