Road Incident Response Workers

This role would be a good fit for a skilled Tradesperson with traffic management experience looking for more stability in a dynamic full-time role with set hours in road incident response setting. We have ongoing opportunities with a strong potential for temp-to-perm employment.

This role offers a unique 4 days on, 4 days off rotating roster, so the right person will need to be flexible to work the hours required.

If you are a Tow Truck driver looking for a change the team is willing to train you in the role.

You'll be a part of their incident response team, managing traffic and performing minor civil works during road incidents and scheduled shutdowns as required. Your trade background combined with traffic expertise will be highly valued in responding to various situations and ensuring safe operations within a well-established organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• TMA Driving: Operating a Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) safely and effectively.
• Implementing and maintaining traffic control plans, strong knowledge of traffic safety and management.
• Responding to road incidents, breakdowns, and hazards.
• Performing minor civil works and labouring tasks as required (e.g., debris removal, temporary repairs, cleaning).
• Assisting with road closures and scheduled shutdowns as required.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols.

Shift Details & Remuneration:

• Roster: Unique 4 days on, 4 days off rotating schedule (e.g., Mon-Thu, Tue-Fri, Wed-Sat, Thu-Sun, etc.). This means your shift moves by one day each week.
• Hours: Consistent 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM shifts.
• Pay Rate: $30+ per hour (competitive rates in the mid-$30s).
• Overtime & Penalties: Meal allowances, additional attractive rates apply for overtime and weekend work as well as overnight rates for shutdown/closure work.

Accommodation & Amenities:

For your comfort and convenience, you will have access to or be provided with self-contained huts at key locations. These are small, office-sized rooms equipped with full amenities including a shower, toilet, sink, locker, toaster, air fryer, and a desk with a laptop.

What We're Looking For:

• Traffic Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in traffic control and management.
• MR (Medium Rigid) Licence (Essential): For TMA driving.
• Traffic Control Ticket: Yellow Card for Traffic Control work
• Minor Civil Experience/Labouring: Practical experience in basic civil works.
• Tow Truck Licence (Big Bonus!): If you have this, comprehensive training will be provided for all other aspects of the role!
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliability and adaptability to a rotating roster.
