Feeling unappreciated, or looking for a change? Steve Sorensen Mechanical is seeking to employ an additional qualified Automotive Technician to join our experienced, enthusiastic Team.

This is evidenced through implementations such as our 9-day fortnight, personal ducted air conditioning units, individual PC's on each hoist, along with multiple aftermarket and OE scantools, oscilloscopes and J2534 programming equipment. THE ROLE:
You will be required to work on a variety of passenger, hybrids and four-wheel drive vehicles.

Your main duties will include servicing, repairs and general maintenance on all aspects of the vehicle, as well as diagnostics & fault finding. You must be a qualified tradesman with recent experience in light passenger vehicles in the automotive industry.

Generous above-award wages, negotiated on previous experience and qualifications, and reviewed regularly

$1,500 Sign-on Bonus

9-day working fortnight (closed weekends and every 2nd Friday). Technician hours 7.30am - 4.30pm

Ongoing training and support, ensuring you keep up to date with emerging technology, with opportunities to upskill into Hybrid and EV if desired

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
You will be passionate about your trade and focus on having a happy working environment. You will also:

Be a qualified technician with a current manual licence

Have a strong focus on quality workmanship, attention to detail and pride in your work

Possess a strong knowledge of passenger vehicle maintenance and repairs

Be confident in problem solving and diagnosing vehicle faults, with our culture being to charge for diagnostic time and fix it right the first time

Have the ability to work under pressure and to a high standard

Be willing to continuously learn and train with technologies including scan tool interpretation (aftermarket and OEM), oscilloscope operation and future technologies

Be approachable, friendly and enjoy working as part of a team

Understand the importance of clean work practices
