About the role

JNS Diesel Contracting is seeking a talented and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Cloncurry, Queensland. As a full-time Light Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of light vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition and running efficiently.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing and repairing a variety of light vehicles, in particular Toyota, Nissan and Ford.
• Performing scheduled maintenance tasks such as servicing, oil changes, brake repairs and componentry diagnostics
• Identifying and addressing mechanical issues
• Collaborating with the team to ensure the timely completion of all repairs and maintenance
• Maintaining detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Adhering to all relevant safety standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, preferably in a similar role
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex issues
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
