We’re currently seeking a Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team of dedicated professionals, following a recent vacancy. ABOUT THE ROLE
Own WHS across our operations—from frontline care to office procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (and make it practical).
Conduct risk assessments and implement real, workable safety solutions.
Train, advise, and support staff—no fluff, just straight-up guidance.
Investigate incidents and drive preventative change.
Report directly to senior leadership with the autonomy to shape WHS strategy.
Promote a culture of safety awareness.
Manage the coordination, investigation, reporting and finalisation of workplace incidents and complaints.
Responsible for data input including internal management systems and external portals.
Responsible for maintaining current workplace health and safety P&P’s including COVID-19 mandatory reporting.
Keep up to date with legislative requirements.
Manage the WHS component of Meetings, Training, and Inductions.
Proactive role in advising on Risk Management.
Who You Are:
Pragmatic, proactive, and know how to get things done.
A no-nonsense safety professional who knows the law—and how to apply it.
Experienced in WHS within healthcare, disability, aged care, or community services.
Able to communicate clearly and confidently across all levels.
Passionate about making workplaces safer for staff and clients alike.
Diplomatic when needed, but never afraid to speak up when it counts.

Experience/Qualifications:
Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
Salary: $40 to $45 per hour
Format: Part-time, 25 hours per week
Please note, as we are a registered NDIS care provider, Carers Network require all workers to undergo a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
