Are you a passionate and experienced or inspiring leader in the education and care space, with a vision for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children outside of school hours? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are a family owned and operated LDC centre with a separate, purpose-built OSHC facility next door. We are searching for an OSHC Co-ordinator to lead our team of passionate OSHC educators, creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for our school-aged children.
We are looking for someone who can balance the various aspects of the role, including working with children, mentoring and leading the team, and handling some administrative duties. This is a unique opportunity to work in a service that truly values teamwork, initiative and supporting others to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the establishment and implementation of an effective, efficient and compliant OSHC operation.
Flexibility with full time or part time position/split shifts Monday to Friday or full shifts for the day.
Lead, mentor and support the team and work collaboratively with the leadership team from the LDC and Centre Manager.
Ensure all areas of the NQF are met and / or exceeded.
Build strong relationships with families, stakeholders and the community.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the OSHC service operations, all whilst ensuring high quality education and care is provided.
Monitor and maintain the safety and wellbeing of all children, adhering to best practices in child protection and risk management.
Manage administrative tasks relating to the OSHC service

60 Approved Places.
Operates before, after and vacation care.
Own dedicated space with purpose built “Schoolies House”
Long Daycare Service on neighbouring site
We are looking for an OSHC Co-ordinator that has:
A genuine passion for working with children and creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for them to learn and grow.
A collaborative leadership style that encourages and empowers team members, and values their contributions and insights.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with a strong focus on active listening and empathy.
Strong organisational and administrative skills
A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning, with an openness to new ideas and a willingness to implement change where necessary.
A warm, approachable, and engaging personality, with a natural ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
A strong understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and all that is within (NQS, National Regulations & Law, Framework: My Time, Our Place).
A strong understanding of items outside the NQF that is essential to running a OSHC service, such as WHS responsibilities, Child Protection obligations / responsibilities, the Children’s Services Award, etc.
Essential Requirements:
Diploma or above in Early Childhood Education and Care / Outside School Hours Care
Current Blue Card
Current First Aid Certificate (HTLDAID004) with CPR
Current Child Protection certificate
Desired Requirements:
Experience in a leadership role within the education and care profession, with a proven track record of building strong relationships with families, educators, and the community.
Experience mentoring staff
High level computer competency to fulfil the requirements of the position.
The ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-tasking and having fun.
