Salary starting from $43.95 an hour

About the role

Are you passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces and making a positive impact in your community? We are looking for two dedicated and skilled Casual General Hand Reserves Employees to join our team and help us achieve a high standard of presentation for our City's Parks, Gardens and Turf Areas.

Primary Purpose of the Position: As part of a Parks team, you will play a crucial role in upholding the City's commitment to outstanding Greenspace maintenance. Reporting to the responsible Supervisor, you will ensure our Parks, Gardens and Turf meet the highest standards of presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

Operate various plant and equipment for daily maintenance tasks.

Inspect park structures and amenities; promptly report and address any damage or hazards.

Conduct routine clean-ups, including litter collection and disposal.

Identify and manage weeds and pests using appropriate methods.

Maintain plants and lawns using contemporary horticultural techniques.

Identify and report reticulation issues with our gardens, streetscapes and turf areas

Assist with construction projects and maintenance works as directed.

Report daily to the Supervisor for instructions and updates.

Adhere to all City policies and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.

Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisors of Parks, Reserves or Turf along with the Coordinator of Parks and Open spaces.

Construction Card (white card)

These jobs are residential positions, no FIFO or DIDO permitted
