Muirhead & Associates, is a progressive Chartered Accounting firm in Sydney's Inner West, seeking a skilled Senior Business Services Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and management accounts for individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation funds.
• Identify tax strategies and assist clients with tax planning.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and regulatory bodies.
• Proactively solve client accounting and tax issues.
• Support and mentor junior staff with technical guidance.
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines autonomously.
• Work closely with Directors in a collaborative team setting.

Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in accounting.
• Progressing through or completed CA Program.
• 3-5 years’ experience in business services.
• Experience with cloud and desktop accounting software including Xero and MYOB (exposure with Handisoft and BGL a plus).
• Strong focus on client service and ethical standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Drive for professional development and continuous learning.
