About the Role

  • Provide reception duties including telephone enquiries, face-to-face enquiries, assistance and redirection where appropriate, arrangement of transport for patients, medical documents, x-rays and medications, arrange follow up appointments, faxing, photocopying and taking accurate messages for staff and patients.
  • Manage patient bookings by ensuring prospective patients have been placed on a respective waiting list and are booked within the time frame indicated on the referral form.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the unit for all incoming and outgoing communication. This includes examining, prioritising and managing the flow of communication including the preparation of letters, memos and briefs as required.
  • Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, gender, identity, ages or abilities.
