We are seeking an experienced and reliable Machine Operator (Lamination) to join our growing team. This role is essential to our production process, ensuring composite panels are laminated to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The role is built around three key pillars: Machine Operation (Lamination), Quality, and Safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation (Lamination)
Operate and monitor lamination machinery to produce high-quality composite panels.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues during operation.
Perform routine checks and machine setup adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
Work in coordination with the production team to ensure production goals are met.
Operate a forklift as needed to move materials and finished products (Forklift License required).
Utilise knowledge of composite panel manufacturing and adhesives to support continuous improvement.
Maintain detailed operational records and logs.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment is required.
2. Quality
Ensure products meet Link Composites’ high-quality standards at all times.
Perform and document in-process and post-production quality checks.
Identify and report non-conforming products and participate in corrective actions.
Demonstrate reliability and consistency in upholding product quality throughout each shift.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to support quality outcomes.
3. Safety
Take ownership of safety within the assigned work environment.
Recognize and report potential risks and hazards promptly.
Adhere to all safety protocols, particularly while operating machinery with moving parts.
Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Wear and maintain appropriate PPE as required by the role.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other tasks as reasonably requested by the employer, including cross-training in other areas of the production floor as needed.
Support team members and contribute positively to the overall work environment and company culture.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in machine operation, preferably in lamination or composite panel manufacturing.
Forklift License (mandatory).
Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with adhesives and their use in manufacturing settings (beneficial).
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills.
Commitment to quality, safety, and team collaboration.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
