Embedded Expertise have secured two long-term contract opportunities with an industry-leading client, supporting their automated control system projects across their Wheelcar workshop. These 12-month secondments are hands-on and ideal for experienced engineers who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about automation and control systems.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking Senior Control Systems Engineers with a strong background in electrical and automation engineering. Ideally, candidates will hold an electrical licence ( not essential ) and have proven experience in PLC programming and control systems.

Key Technical Skills:

• Siemens TIA Portal
• Siemens Step 7
• Siemens WinCC
• Rockwell RSLogix 500 - nice to have

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, coordinate, and implement control systems projects
• Provide support for breakdowns and production-critical issues
• Improve plant capability, safety, and reliability through proactive maintenance systems
• Manage SCADA systems including virtualisation, system administration, networking, and IT integration
• Govern control system changes with risk assessment, compliance to design standards, and verification
• Work with a range of PLC/SCADA/RTU types and applications

Preferred Experience:

• In-depth PLC and SCADA competence, with preference for Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC
• ROCKWELL RSLogix is an added bonus
• 5+ years in control systems and/or electrical engineering support
• Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Control Systems Engineering
• Strong configuration and programming skills across multiple platforms
