The Role
This is a senior-level position for an experienced professional who thrives on solving technical safety problems in critical industries. You’ll be central to delivering sophisticated risk assessments and safety solutions across sectors including energy, oil & gas, renewables, and mining. You’ll also help drive technical leadership, internal development, and the strategic evolution of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex risk management and process safety studies including QRA, HAZID, LOPA, SIL determination, and safety case development.
  
  
• Deliver high-quality risk modelling and consequence analysis using industry-leading software and tools.
  
  
• Provide expert reviews of hazardous operations and facilities, identifying risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
  
  
• Design, lead, and facilitate structured technical workshops such as HAZOP, Bowtie, and other risk studies.
  
  
• Interpret and apply international safety standards, legislation, and risk frameworks across diverse operating environments.
  
  
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring technical excellence, on-time performance, and commercial alignment.
  
  
• Engage directly with senior stakeholders, providing high-level insights, strategic guidance, and detailed reporting.
  
  
• Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, and industry presence.
  
  
• Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to a culture of excellence and professional growth.
  
  

About You

• Degree-qualified in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  
  
• Deep experience in process safety, risk management, or technical safety consulting—particularly in high-risk industrial environments.
  
  
• Advanced capability in leading HAZOP/HAZID workshops and performing QRAs and SIL assessments.
  
  
• High proficiency with risk analysis software and modelling tools.
  
  
• Strong working knowledge of major hazard facility regulations, industry codes, and international safety standards.
  
  
• Exposure to critical infrastructure projects in sectors such as oil & gas, energy, renewables, or mining.
  
  
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects with commercial awareness.
  
  
• Confident communicator with a natural leadership style and a passion for technical excellence.
