About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Expert Care Services' in Dubbo, NSW. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, helping them enhance their quality of life and achieve their personal goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing personalised care and support to clients with mental health conditions, including assisting with daily living activities, social engagement, and community participation
• Developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Facilitating access to community resources, services, and activities that promote mental health and wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care and progress
• Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of mental health services and supporting the overall goals of the organisation

What We're Looking For

• Relevant qualifications in mental health, social work, or a related field
• Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, preferably in a community-based setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals
• Knowledge of mental health support services, community resources, and relevant legislation and regulations
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and to adapt to the changing needs of clients
