About the Role
The City is seeking an experienced Engineering Support Officer to join the Engineering Maintenance team to support the City’s Street and Verge Bond Scheme. The successful appointee will be responsible for:

  • Administering the Street and Verge Bond Scheme.
  • Proving technical support services, including the assessment and determination of Street and Verge Bond refund applications.
  • Sourcing, compiling and collating date and information to monitor, track and report on the Scheme.

About you
As a collaborative member of the Engineering Maintenance team, the successful appointee must be adaptable and experienced in the construction or engineering environment. They must also thrive working in a very busy and change driven environment. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate through their CV and covering letter that they meet the following:

  • Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience within a construction or engineering environment.
  • Broad administrative and financial experience.
  • Intermediate experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
  • Advanced administrative and financial skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computing, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Advanced customer service skills.
  • Intermediate communication and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of occupational health and safety measures in the workplace include hazard identification in an office environment.
