About the Role:We’re seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to assist with a data centre modernisation and Azure cloud migration project. While a vendor is leading the implementation, this role will act as the internal liaison, working closely with application managers and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal teams to support the roll out of a DC refresh and Azure migration.
• Act as the bridge between the implementation vendor and internal stakeholders.
• Support on-boarding activities and facilitate knowledge transfer across teams.
• Engage with application managers and DevOps teams to ensure technical alignment and readiness.
• Provide on-the-ground support in Newcastle (or travel from Sydney/Central Coast 1–2 days per week).

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience in cloud migration projects, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with data centre modernisation and infrastructure transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments and collaborating across technical teams.
• Based in Newcastle or willing to travel from Sydney/Central Coast.

Engagement Details:

• Initial focus on on-boarding and team integration (2 days/week), potentially reducing to 1 day/week once embedded.
• Flexible working arrangements with some on-site presence required.
