This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality, individualised therapy to children, young adults and adults and their families. Your role will have a strong focus on supporting early development across areas such as sensory regulation, play and social skills, fine and gross motor development, self-care, and school readiness – all within a family-centred, strengths-based approach.

All therapy delivered through NSS is within a family-centred, strengths-based framework, supporting meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments in motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional capacity

Develop and implement evidence-based, individualised therapy plans

Deliver one-on-one and small group interventions focused on building functional independence

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including speech pathologists, physiotherapists, intervention teachers, and educators

Support families and carers with strategies to enhance participation in daily routines and community activities

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, reports, and progress notes in line with NDIS requirements

Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to Occupational Therapists within the team

Actively participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's or Master’s level)

Current registration with AHPRA

A minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, preferably in early childhood or disability support

Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals

Able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Excellent time management and organisational skills

A positive, proactive approach to team-based care

Willingness to travel to the Muswellbrook area at least once a week to support clients

Experience supervising or mentoring junior clinicians (desirable but not essential)

Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice

What We Offer

7 weeks of annual leave – 5 weeks directed and 2 weeks flexible

Low KPIs to prioritise quality service delivery and staff well-being

A strong onboarding program and access to regular clinical supervision

Ongoing professional development and training opportunities

A supportive, values-driven team culture where your contribution is genuinely valued

Career progression opportunities as the service continues to grow

Access to a work vehicle for client travel

A dedicated office base in Kurri Kurri for collaboration, planning, and team connection
