Join one of Perth’s most iconic venues at The University Club of Western Australia. The Club is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Banquet Supervisor to join its Banquet team.

POSITION

The University Club is located on the banks of the Swan River on the heritage-listed grounds of The University of Western Australia. The Club has over 4500 members and facilities include 16 state-of-the-art private function rooms, a fine dining restaurant and casual dining café.

The Banquet Supervisor position is a full time; hands-on position reporting to the Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager and offers the opportunity to work alongside a passionate and experienced banquet team.

This position would suit a person who has extensive experience in banqueting operations, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role and is ready to make that next step in their career. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this role, as you will be responsible for supervision of a team of food and beverage attendants across multiple functions.

THE APPLICANT

Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

Extensive operational experience in a banqueting environment, ideally within a 4- or 5-star hospitality venue

Experience with staff training and supervision,

Strong leadership and effective communication skills,

Ability to work independently and show initiative,

Demonstrated ability to be adaptable to achieve results in a changing environment,

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and

Must have Approved Manager Card (unrestricted) or willingness to obtain.
