Our Valued Rail services client is one of the largest integrated & diversified suppliers of railroad & transit system products & services in Australia.
An opportunity exists for a proven Trade Assistant with dissemble & reassembly component experience to join their team on a Mon – Fri Day shift, located in Central Coast, NSW in their purpose built modern workshop facility.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Assisting technicians with:

• The removal, disassembly, replacing & reassembly of electrical plug & sock components within a rail vehicle using hand plus power tools.
• Following detailed workflows & schematic drawings to accurately complete all the retrofit tasks in question.
• Responsible for reporting accurate project inventory of old & new units to ensure all are allocated & accounted for.
• Ensuring all tooling plus equipment used is accounted for & housekeeping is always kept to the highest order.

Essential Skillsets, experiences, and culture requirements:

• Must hold a valid active & registered RIW Card is an essential requirement.
• A minimum of X1 Years on site practical Trade Assistant work is essential, a partial completion of a trade is also advantageous.
• Proven usage of hand & power tooling to complete dissemble, cleaning, reassembly of components.
• High level communications & interpersonal team skillsets.
• Must be safety conscious & proactively partake in toolbox talks.
• Ability to autonomously proactively organise / prioritise work tasks in a professional & efficient manner to ensure completion.
• Demonstrate a good can do attitude to work & the willingness to further develop their knowledge & skill sets through training.

Desirables:

• Partial completion of a trade or overseas trade is highly desirable & will be seen as very favourable.
• Previous Electrical specific sector experience (such as automotive, mining, aviation, naval, manufacturing) is highly desirable.
• OH&S White Card.

Additional requirements:

• Pass a pre-employment medical with a Drugs & Alcohol screener.
• Australian fulltime unlimited working rights.
• The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time.
