We have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyors Assistant to join our Design & Survey Services team!

What You Will Do:

As a Surveyor’s Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting the Surveyors in the provision of surveying services to Council’s operations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve:

Assisting the Surveyors in providing investigation, monitoring, construction set out and as-constructed surveys for works and projects, undertaken by most of Council's departments.

Driving of survey motor vehicles, including daily vehicle safety checks and routine cleaning of vehicle.

Use and maintenance of surveying equipment and hand tools in surveying tasks.

Use of electronic equipment to detect underground pipes and cables for position and depth.

Painting of survey pegs.

What We Are Looking For:

Current Open Driver's Licence in order to be able to drive survey motor vehicles.

Good communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Physically able to undertake a variety of strenuous labouring tasks.

Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a team environment.
