Key Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software

Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and other vehicle systems

Carry out routine maintenance: oil changes, tyre rotations, battery checks, and fluid top-ups

Inspect vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer and industry standards

Clearly communicate repair needs and associated costs to service advisors or customers

Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed

Stay current with evolving automotive technologies and repair procedures

Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify proper operation

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work across a variety of makes and models

High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

A team player with great communication skills

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)

Automotive Repair Trade Qualification

Proven experience as a mechanic or automotive technician

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic vehicle systems

Competent in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment

Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills

Current, valid driver’s licence

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Desirable:

Air Conditioning Refrigerant Handling Licence

Roadworthy Inspection Licence

Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles
