About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent part-time/full-time role and is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in supporting the periodontal practice's operations and providing high-quality patient care.

What you'll be doing

Providing chair-side assisting our Periodontist and Hygienists, including examinations, specialist periodontal procedures and dental implants

Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments

Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation

Collaborating closely with the specialist and hygienists

Maintaining accurate patient and clinical records and updating treatment plans

If required, ordering and restocking dental supplies and equipment and working at reception

Adhering to all dental practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols

This is a permanent full-time position

What we're looking for

Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent is advantageous but not essential (or current registration or enrolment in a Dental Assisting/Nursing course).

At least 2 years previous experience as a Dental Assistant/Dental Nurse in a clinical setting (experience with periodontal/implant surgeries advantageous but not essential)

Proficiency in dental procedures, equipment, and sterilisation techniques

Exceptional patient care skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, clinical and other staff

Strong organisational, multitasking and time management skills

A positive "can do" attitude

A desire to learn more and expand your own professional skill

An Australian citizen or Permanent resident
