Are you an experienced internal communications professional ready to make an impact? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Communications Advisor to lead internal communications and drive employee engagement for the Winu Project, helping build a strong sense of connection, purpose and shared identity among our people.
What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and deliver engaging internal communications for the Winu Project.
• Craft clear, inspiring project messaging for employees across Rio Tinto.
• Create and manage content for a variety of channels – email updates, Element, Viva Engage, newsletters, Town Hall briefings and more.
• Partner closely with Winu Leadership to align and cascade messaging.
• Foster a culture of storytelling and recognition – think RockStars and fresh ideas!
• Bring a continuous improvement mindset and support change communication for key milestones.
• Equip leaders and managers with the tools and confidence to communicate well.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in internal communications, ideally in projects or the resources sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to make the complex clear.
• Experience running employee engagement initiatives and using engagement platforms.
• A people-first, curious mindset with a passion for clear, transparent communication.
• Creativity, confidence and a strong sense of narrative and storytelling.
• A collaborative, can-do attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Crisis communications experience is a bonus.

Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
